Game Industry:
The multi-million rand game industry is still growing. Hunting is the biggest contributor, followed by live sales of game, ecotourism and venison sales. Several satellite industries are now actively involved. Private game ranches now cover more land and have more game than all the national parks and provincial reserves together.
Tourism:
The number of foreign tourists has grown dramatically and the majority of these visitors visited a nature or game reserve. More foreign hunters are arriving and local tourists are increasingly visiting game ranches.
